How is that Resolution Going?

Everyone always starts the New Year with such enthusiasm to get healthy. They buy the healthy shakes, get new workout clothes and the cool abs machine on the late night infomercial.

Then just like the year before, life starts to get in the way again and the enthusiasm fades. Those 3 to 5 pounds that you worked so hard to lose come creeping back by March.

So why is it that so many people struggle to lose weight and keep it off? Why is it that the Resolution has to be weight loss EVERY SINGLE YEAR?

In my experience… it’s because people look for the quickest and easiest ways to lose weight, rather than looking for ways to change their lifestyle. The reality is that there is no quick and easy way to be healthy. Think about it: The picture of health looks something like a married couple going on a long bike ride through Mill Creek Park. There is no three shakes a day and no single piece of equipment that will get you on that bike. The only thing that will is to buy a bike and start pedaling.

Make this year different. Stop looking for quick and easy ways to lose weight. Instead start setting aside time to exercise properly and to start enjoying the tasty and healthy foods.
